Lucknow. After the unprecedented success of Chandrayaan-3 in the holy month of Sawan, Neeraj has made the countrymen overwhelmed with joy by giving this new success in the javelin throw. This year's month of Sawan along with the new moon is becoming the month of a new revolution in the world of space and sports.

In the javelin throw competition athletics, India's Neeraj Chopra created history by winning the gold medal for the first time in the final of the World Athletics Championship held in Budapest, Hungary. He has become the first Indian athlete to win gold for India in the javelin throw. Today whole of India is proud and happy with Neeraj's success. The entire country including the President, Vice President, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi have congratulated Neeraj on his golden success. With this success, Neeraj has also qualified for the next Olympics. Neeraj won the gold medal by throwing 88.17 meters javelin in the final.

For the first time in the Budapest Athletics Championships, three players from India were able to reach the final in the javelin throw event. Kishor Jena finished fifth with his best score of 84.77 and DP Manu finished sixth with his best score of 84.14. This was the only competition left for Neeraj Chopra in which he did not get gold and that dream has also been fulfilled this time. Prior to this, he received a silver medal in the same competition.

Earlier in the Tokyo Olympics, Neeraj Chopra created history by winning the gold medal in the javelin throw competition. Then Neeraj put the first gold in India's bag with a throw of 87.58 meters, with which the whole country was jubilant and Neeraj was honored at many forums.

Neeraj has emerged as a role model for the youth of India in the javelin throw competition. When Neeraj won gold in the Olympics for the first time, the craze for him and the javelin throw was seen among the youth all over India. Today in India, 7th August is also celebrated as Javelin throw day because on this day he created history by winning the gold medal. This is the reason why the month of August is bringing revolution in javelin throw. Competitions are held all over India on 7 August. The purpose of celebrating this day is to promote Javelin Throw in India.
The journey of Neeraj Chopra's sports life started with winning gold medal in National Junior Athletics Championship 2012 which is still going on. Neeraj won gold medal in 2018 Asian Games and 2020 Olympics. Won the silver medal in the World Championship 2022. Neeraj has also been awarded the Arjuna Award in 2018. After this, he was also awarded the Vishisht Seva Medal in 2020, Major Dhyanchand Khel Ratna Award in 2021, Padma Shri in 2022 and Param Vishisht Seva Medal. Has gone Neeraj Chopra had made the country proud in May 2023 by securing the first position in the Doha Diamond League 2023 with a throw of 88.67m.
