Himachal Congress: VP Neeraj Bharti Resigns, Slams CM Sukhu's Working Style

Shimla : In a major setback for the ruling Congress party in Himachal Pradesh, senior leader Neeraj Bharti has resigned from his post as the State Congress Vice President. Bharti announced his decision publicly via social media, sending shockwaves through the state's political corridors. He confirmed that his resignation has been formally sent to Congress State President Vinay Kumar and District President Anurag Thakur.

Following his resignation, Bharti unleashed a fierce tirade against the state government and Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Facebook. In a series of rapid-fire posts spanning less than two hours, the disgruntled leader questioned not only CM Sukhu’s leadership style but also targeted Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge.

"Appointing me as the Vice President was not a favor," Bharti stated bluntly, expressing deep frustration over being sidelined. He claimed that internal grievances are routinely ignored behind closed doors, leaving him with no choice but to take the matter public.

Interestingly, Bharti openly backed Deputy CM Mukesh Agnihotri in his posts while making a bold political prediction. He claimed that Congress would be reduced to just four seats in the upcoming elections, challenging critics to save his post for future verification. Despite his bitter exit, Bharti clarified that he has no intentions of joining any other political party.

In his official resignation letter, Bharti expressed his grief, noting that the decision was incredibly difficult given his years of dedicated service to the party. He highlighted how thousands of grassroots workers fought relentlessly against the BJP to bring Congress back to power, only to be met with disappointment under the current administration's functioning.
