Arjun says, “I never planned to become an actor, but I fell in love with films as I spent more time observing how dedicated and passionate people are in this industry to provide complete entertainment to the people of our country. He adds, “So when I wanted to learn about acting, I just wanted to act and face the camera. I was never focused on what role I was selected for on screen. I wanted to feel the same passion and joy that I saw the actors feel while giving the shot. I wanted to feel the rush of being in front of the camera and working very hard to do a good job.

Arjun revealed that he did not know that he was being auditioned to play the hero in Ishaqzaade. He says, “Launching as a lead role also happened because Aditya Chopra saw that I had the fire in me to act as a hero on screen. I never auditioned knowing that I was being auditioned for the lead role in Ishaqzaade. When I got this role I was overwhelmed. I still remember that day. It was probably one of the happiest days of my life.”

The actor says emotionally, “I just have gratitude that I get to act and I am doing what I love every day. So, I have never been an insecure actor. I have played the lead role, I was the first person in my time to do a two hero film in Gunday, the first to work in a group in Mubarakan, got selected to play Kareena Kapoor Khan's house husband hero in Ki & Ka And now I'm playing a complete anti-hero!”

Arjun adds, “I am very grateful to all the directors and producers who gave me the opportunity to shine. So, I am extremely happy that a veteran filmmaker like Rohit Shetty saw that I had the potential to play a villain in his huge Singham Again, which has so many stars. I know I have put my all into it and I am curious to see how people will react to me when the film releases.”
