IFFCO Cordette Celebrates 48th Foundation Day
Prayagraj : IFFCO has been working tirelessly to address farmers' problems since its inception. The contribution of mothers and sisters to agriculture is no less than that of men. Indian farmers are IFFCO's family, and IFFCO is continuously striving for their development. With this objective, Cordette was established on October 9, 1978. Through its efforts, Cordette is doing a good job in promoting agricultural activities in the region and disseminating related information.
Chief Guest Balbir Singh, Vice President, IFFCO, New Delhi, made these remarks during the Rabi Crop Discussion Conference organized on the occasion of the 48th Foundation Day of Motilal Nehru Farmers Training Institute, Cordette. He appealed to farmers to adopt IFFCO's nano fertilizers. Presiding over the event, Balmiki Tripathi, Chairman of the Managing Committee, Cordet, Phulpur, and Director, IFFCO, New Delhi, welcomed everyone and thanked the farmers, saying that farmers are resilient. Even after enduring crop losses, they strive with all their might to ensure a good harvest next year.
This resilience has earned them the title of "Annadata" (food provider). The contribution of mothers and sisters to agriculture is no less than that of men. Singh, Principal, Cordet, detailed Cordet's 48 years of progress and welcomed the guests. Experts provided information to farmers on soil testing, the use of biofertilizers and biodegradable components, beekeeping, and the use of neem oil. Dr. M.P. Singh, Director, Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Chhata, Prayagraj, provided important information on current agricultural practices and preparations for the upcoming Rabi crop. Later in the program, IFFCO Uttar Pradesh State Marketing Manager and Secretary, Cordet, Yatendra Kumar, discussed the usefulness of IFFCO Nano Fertilizer and other IFFCO products and also sought farmers' experiences. Arvind Dwivedi of IFFCO MC provided information on pest control in Rabi crops. PK Singh, Unit Head, IFFCO Phulpur, welcomed everyone and highlighted IFFCO Phulpur's contribution to rural development. RP Singh Baghel, a member of the Cordet Management Committee, highlighted IFFCO's contribution to the cooperative sector. Dhananjay Kumar Singh, Director, National Cooperative Development Corporation, Government of India, praised Cordet's work. Prem Kumar Singh, alias Lalle Singh, former President, DCF Prayagraj, addressed the gathering, stating that IFFCO has done a great deal for farmers. IFFCO's contribution has been crucial to the positive results of the Green Revolution. The program was successfully conducted by Dr. Harishchandra, Incharge of Soil Testing. Sumit Tewatia, Incharge of Farms and Gardens, expressed his gratitude to everyone. Agricultural investment kits containing mustard and black wheat seeds, sickles, biofertilizers, and biodegradable materials were distributed to the farmers present. Battery-operated spray machines were distributed to five progressive farmers. A small exhibition of Cordet products and units was also organized on this occasion, which was inaugurated by the chief guest. The chief guest and chairman also flagged off a new tractor for use on the Cordet field. Retired Cordet employees and officers, along with the current Cordet team, the General Manager and Joint General Manager of the IFFCO Phulpur unit, Anurag Tiwari, President of the Officers' Association, and Swayam Prakash, General Secretary of the IFFCO Employees' Union, Pankaj Pandey, Savita Shukla, and Mukesh Tiwari, along with a large number of farmers, were present during the event.
