Rajesh Tiwari celebrates Eid in Prayagraj, emphasizing unity while criticizing the government's impact on MNREGA and rising gas prices.
Prayagraj : Marking the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr with traditional fervor and "Ganga-Jamuni Tehzeeb," Congress National Secretary Rajesh Tiwari joined local leaders at the residence of Gangapar District President Ashfaq Ahmed in Sikandra to spread a message of communal harmony and social justice.
Embracing party workers and locals, Tiwari emphasized that Eid transcends religious boundaries, acting as a profound reminder of the strength found in diversity. "This festival is the foundation of mutual brotherhood and compassion. It is a day to share joy and pray for collective peace," he stated.
While celebrating the spirit of the festival, Tiwari did not shy away from addressing the pressing socio-economic challenges facing the nation. He launched a sharp critique against the current administration, focusing on the plight of the working class.
Labor Rights: Tiwari condemned the government's approach toward MNREGA, alleging that the "bulldozer policy" has effectively crushed the livelihoods of millions of laborers.
Cost of Living: He highlighted the rising distress over LPG cylinder prices, urging the government to provide immediate relief to households struggling with inflation.
District President Ashfaq Ahmed echoed these sentiments, noting that humanity remains the "biggest religion" above all walls of division. He reaffirmed the Congress party's commitment to replacing hatred with harmony and ensuring "a smile on every face" across the state and country.
The gathering saw a significant turnout of senior leaders and coordinators, including Haji Md. Aslam Ansari, Dr. Jagat Narayan Singh, and Gaurav Pandey, all of whom reiterated the party's resolve to protect India's pluralistic fabric.
