UP CM Yogi Adityanath Issues Appointment Letters to 3,567 Teachers, Enforces Strict Anti-Corruption Directives Under Mission Rozgar

Lucknow. In a major push toward expanding employment opportunities in Uttar Pradesh, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath distributed appointment letters to 3,567 candidates selected for various posts under the Secondary Education Department. Organized under the banner of Mission Rozgar at a grand ceremony in Lucknow, the distribution included 319 Principals, 258 Headmasters, 2,372 Trained Graduate Teachers (TGT), and 618 Lecturers (PGT).

Addressing the newly appointed educators, the Chief Minister emphasized that teaching extends far beyond completing classroom syllabi. He highlighted teachers as the true architects of future generations, responsible for shaping students' values, character, discipline, curiosity, and national consciousness. With 3,567 new teachers joining the state’s education framework, CM Yogi noted that this initiative will directly impact over 350,000 students annually, laying a solid foundation for a self-reliant and developed India by 2047.

Issuing a stern warning against corruption, the Chief Minister assured all selected candidates that the recruitment process was conducted with 100 percent transparency and merit-based criteria. He strictly directed that no newly appointed teacher should face any difficulty while joining their respective institutions. CM Yogi cautioned school managers, officials, or third parties that demanding any financial transactions or bribes from new recruits would result in immediate legal action and imprisonment.

Reflecting on the state’s past recruitment issues, Chief Minister Yogi noted that prior to 2017, the hiring system lacked transparency, often compromising the rights of meritorious candidates. In contrast, the current administration relies strictly on technology, fairness, and merit. Over the past nine years, the state government has provided over 9.5 lakh government jobs to youth, including 5,297 appointments distributed over the past week alone. The Chief Minister announced an ambitious target to connect an additional one lakh youth with government jobs over the next six months.

During his address, CM Yogi also highlighted systemic improvements in Uttar Pradesh’s broader educational landscape. Under Operation Kayakalp and the Nipun Bharat initiative, infrastructure and basic amenities in primary schools surged from 36 percent to 96 percent saturation. Similarly, in secondary education, Project Alankar has revamped over 2,300 schools with modern laboratories, digital libraries, smart classrooms, and upgraded buildings. Enrollment at the secondary level has increased to 67 percent, with over 42,000 teachers recruited in the Secondary Education Department since 2017.

The Chief Minister also referenced welfare measures implemented for educators, such as the Chief Minister Teacher Cashless Medical Scheme, which provides free medical coverage of up to ₹5 lakh per year per family for teachers and their dependents in Basic, Secondary, and Higher Education departments, as well as non-government-aided schools. Additionally, the monetary value for the State Teacher Award was increased from ₹10,000 to ₹25,000.

Addressing the concerns of competitive examination aspirants in Prayagraj, the Chief Minister instructed the Minister of State for Secondary Education (Independent Charge) to formally write to the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). The letter will request NCTE to evaluate a one-time special arrangement or opportunity for candidates affected by age limit cutoffs or procedural delays, enabling them to appear for upcoming competitive exams.

Deputy Chief Minister Brijesh Pathak and Minister of State for Secondary Education (Independent Charge) Gulab Devi also spoke at the event, commending the administration's transparent recruitment drive. Senior officials, including Member of the Legislative Council Dr. Mahendra Singh, Chairman of UP Education Service Selection Commission Prashant Kumar, and Secretary of Secondary Education Kinjal Singh, were present.
