Lucknow : In a significant top-level management transition, Shri Dipesh Raj officially assumed charge as the Chief General Manager (CGM) of the State Bank of India (SBI), Lucknow Circle, on May 14, 2026.

Shri Raj brings a wealth of experience to the role, having dedicated nearly three decades to the nation’s largest public sector lender. His journey with SBI began in 1997 when he joined the bank as a Probationary Officer. Throughout his distinguished 29-year tenure, he has navigated a variety of critical roles across diverse departments, consistently demonstrating the strategic leadership and professional acumen required for high-stakes banking operations.

Before stepping into his new role at the Lucknow Circle, Shri Raj served as the General Manager (Network-2) at SBI’s New Delhi Circle. His extensive background in network management and departmental operations is expected to further strengthen SBI’s footprint in the Uttar Pradesh region.

Shri Dipesh Raj takes over the mantle from Shri Dipak Kumar De. Following a successful stint in Lucknow, Shri De has been elevated to the prestigious position of Deputy Managing Director (DMD). As the new CGM, Shri Raj will be responsible for overseeing the bank's operations, business growth, and digital transformation initiatives across the Lucknow Circle, which plays a pivotal role in the bank's overall domestic strategy.
