Samsung Solve for Tomorrow 2026: 36 Young Indian Innovators Take Ideas to National Stage

Lucknow : Samsung India announced the Top 20 finalist teams for the fifth edition of its global problem-solving initiative, Samsung Solve for Tomorrow 2026. Designed to nurture future leaders through STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math), this year's program features 36 young Indian innovators advancing their tech-driven solutions to solve real-world community issues.

More than half of the finalists hail from Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities, representing 18 locations across 12 states—including Sundargarh, Chittoor, Raebareli, Amritsar, and Sonipat—alongside major metro hubs like Bengaluru, New Delhi, and Mumbai.

SP Chun, Corporate Vice President at Samsung South West Asia, noted that the initiative provides mentorship, resources, and opportunities to scale local ideas into high-impact solutions.

Key innovation areas across four core tracks include:

• AI for India: Offline AI translation apps for low-literacy users, real-time Indian Sign Language translators, and voice-assisted learning tools for visually impaired students.
• Health & Education: Assistive tech predicting sensory overload in autistic children and smart swimming assistants for para-athletes.
• Environmental Sustainability: Converting agricultural waste into clean energy, reducing construction site pollution, and mitigating human-wildlife conflict.
• Sports & Tech: Next-gen low-cost wearables and performance-tracking tech for inclusive athletic training.

The Top 20 teams emerged from a semi-final cohort of 40 teams, following a prototype-building Bootcamp organized in partnership with FITT-IIT Delhi. During the bootcamps, participants toured Samsung R&D centers in Noida, Delhi, Bengaluru, and Design Delhi before pitching to a national jury of 20 industry experts.
