Lucknow: Medanta Lucknow has introduced Uttar Pradesh's first Pediatric and Adolescent Critical Care Unit, offering 24/7 specialized care for children and teens aged 1 month to 19 years. The unit features advanced facilities, including a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), Intermediate Care Unit, and High Dependency Unit.
The unit employs a multi-disciplinary approach, with pediatric and adult intensivists collaborating to address adolescents' unique needs. Dr. Athar Jamal and Dr. Pushpendra Sangwan stress the importance of this expert care, while Dr. Dilip Dubey underscores the unit’s pivotal role in advancing critical child care in the region.
