Kaushambi Congress Leads Fierce Protest March Against Alleged Electoral Fraud and CEC Resignation
Led by District President Gaurav Pandey, Kaushambi Congress marched to demand Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar’s resignation over alleged voter list manipulation, submitting a formal memorandum to the President.
Kaushambi : Under the leadership of District Congress President Gaurav Pandey, party workers staged a massive protest march in Manjhanpur, Kaushambi, targeting Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar over allegations of systematic vote tampering and targeted voter list manipulation.
The demonstration commenced at Osa Crossroads and culminated at the Ambedkar statue near Rain Basera. A formal memorandum addressed to the President of India was submitted through the District Magistrate of Kaushambi, demanding immediate accountability and the resignation of the Chief Election Commissioner.
Addressing party cadre during the march, District President Gaurav Pandey accused the election machinery of acting under ruling party influence. He alleged that valid voter names were deleted across several states—including Bihar, Bengal, Maharashtra, and Haryana—to unlawfully favor the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Pandey emphasized that senior leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi have repeatedly exposed these discrepancies through public press briefings, asserting that Congress and INDIA bloc alliance partners remain committed to fighting for democratic integrity from the streets to Parliament.
Prominent leaders in attendance included Kaushambi in-charge Rajesh Sahni, former state secretary Ram Bahadur Tripathi, Rajiv Gandhi Panchayati Raj Sangathan state chief Manoj Singh Patel, and former district president Talat Azeem. District office-bearers Ram Surat Raidas, Shyam Murti Tiwari, Nayyar Rizvi, Ashish Mishra 'Pappu', Manjhanpur Block President Pradeep Singh Patel, and Social Media Head Sachin Pandey were also present, along with block heads Ravendra Yadav, Priyanshu Tripathi, and Rafeeq Ahmad.
A large turnout of grassroots workers—including Abida Begum, Kamlesh Patel, Meena Devi, Rekha Devi, Shivkali Saroj, Urmila Devi, and hundreds of supporters—reaffirmed their resolve to protect constitutional values and oppose voter suppression.
