On Friday, under the leadership of former acting General Secretary of the Bar, Advocate Rajesh Khare, many advocates have submitted a memorandum to the Bar Association regarding the irregularities in the voter list, demanding correction of the voter list.
The advocates have also demanded that the advocates who have not been included in the voter list should also be included. Advocate Rajesh Khare, in the absence of the Bar President and General Secretary, has given a memorandum to Joint Secretary Press Amarendu Singh, demanding that the advocates who have deposited their membership fees through affidavit by January 31 should be added to the voter list and the advocates who State Law Officers were there till May 2023 and the names of other advocates who have filed objections in the Bar Association office and deposited their membership fees by 26 February should also be added to the voter list. So that more and more advocates can vote and the elections can be transparent and fair.
He said that in the list of women that has been released, the photo of a woman voter has been replaced with the photo of a male advocate. Names and photographs of not just one or two such advocates but hundreds of advocates have been wrongly posted. It has been demanded that the errors in the list should be corrected immediately.
