Kunda (Pratapgarh): The newly built sub-registrar office on the Kunda tehsil premises was formally opened on Friday. Residents of the area can now expect a better place for property registration and other related services.

Ravindra Jaiswal, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Stamp and Registration, first inaugurated the facility online and addressed the gathering virtually. On site, local MLA and former minister Kunwar Raghuraj Pratap Singh, popularly known as Raja Bhaiya, cut the ribbon amid Vedic chanting and worship on the auspicious occasion of Navratri.

The building was constructed at a cost of ₹2.28 crore on 500 square metres of land. The Uttar Pradesh Rajkiya Nirman Nigam completed it within the stipulated time. Departmental work at the office will begin from next Monday.
