Prayagraj Division Commences Vigilance Awareness Week with Pledge Against Corruption

Prayagraj : Demonstrating a firm commitment to administrative transparency and ethical governance, the North Central Railway’s Prayagraj Division officially kicked off Vigilance Awareness Week and the ongoing nationwide preventive campaign. The proceedings were marked by a solemn oath-taking ceremony at the Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) office, led by Additional Divisional Railway Manager (General) Deepak Kumar, alongside ADRM (Operations) M. M. Waris and ADRM (Infrastructure) Dhananjay Kumar.

Branch officers and administrative staff gathered at the headquarters to pledge their dedication to eradicating corruption, maintaining uncompromising integrity, and ensuring absolute transparency in their daily official duties.

Following the ceremony, a high-level review meeting was convened at the Sankalp Auditorium under the chairpersonship of Chief Vigilance Officer (Stores) Vipul Kanaujia. Highlighting the core philosophy of the nationwide initiative, officials noted that the campaign is being observed under the guiding theme: ‘Culture of Integrity for Nation's Prosperity’ (‘सत्यनिष्ठा से समृद्धि’). The ongoing preventive awareness campaign runs from August 17 to November 16, 2026, with the core Vigilance Awareness Week scheduled from October 26 to November 1, 2026, coinciding with the birth anniversary week of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.

Addressing the gathering, CVO Vipul Kanaujia emphasized that corruption remains a formidable bottleneck in the nation's economic, political, and social advancement. He stressed that collective action from the government, public officials, and civil society is indispensable for systemic reform. He urged every employee to champion the highest standards of governance and lead by personal example through a zero-tolerance policy toward corruption.

Adding practical depth to the session, Deputy Chief Vigilance Officer (Engineering) Gunjan श्रीवास्तव, DCVO (Electrical) Krishna Kant, DCVO (Traffic) J. Sanjay Kumar, and DCVO (Mechanical) Rishiraj analyzed past administrative case studies. They briefed the attendees on key vigilance protocols, preventative safeguards, and regulatory compliance to ensure rule-bound, honest, and efficient public service delivery across all railway departments.
