Airtel Massive 5G Push: 4,300+ New Sites Bolster Connectivity Across UP East

Lucknow : In a significant move to bridge the digital divide, Bharti Airtel has announced the deployment of over 4,300 new 5G sites across the Uttar Pradesh East circle over the past year. This aggressive rollout strengthens the provider’s infrastructure across 48 districts, bringing next-generation connectivity to approximately 34 million people.

Airtel’s expansion strategy has been relentless, averaging 12 new sites per day. This scale ensures that high-speed 5G is no longer a luxury reserved for tier-1 cities. The network now spans:

• Urban Hubs: Improved density in Lucknow, Kanpur, Varanasi, and Prayagraj.
• Growth Towns: Enhanced support for Ayodhya, Gorakhpur, and Jhansi.
• Rural Frontiers: Integration of remote villages and border areas into the digital economy.

Amit Gupta, CEO of Bharti Airtel (UP East), emphasized that the region is a "strategic market." The goal is to provide a resilient digital backbone that supports everything from micro-entrepreneurship to government digital services.

"This large-scale rollout ensures that millions... can access fast, reliable connectivity to support their everyday digital needs," Gupta stated, noting that sustained investment remains a priority.

To complement the hardware expansion, Airtel introduced a value-driven ₹399 recharge pack. The plan offers:

• Unlimited 4G and 5G data for 28 days.
• Unlimited calling around the clock.

Seamless support for high-bandwidth activities like 4K streaming, online education, and remote work.

By focusing on cultural corridors and high-mobility zones like highways, Airtel is positioning itself as the primary catalyst for the region's digital transformation, ensuring that UP East stays connected in an increasingly data-driven world.
