Kanpur to Host 5-Day Festive Shopping Extravaganza at Motijheel Lawn-2 Ahead of Diwali

Kanpur : Bringing festive fervor and convenient shopping to Kanpurites, Shine Events & Exhibits announced the 21st edition of its popular annual Diwali Bazaar. Scheduled to run from October 30 through November 3, 2026, at Motijheel Lawn-2, the five-day fair formally kicked off its preparations following a traditional Bhoomi Pujan ceremony at the venue.

Following the ceremony, the organizers addressed the media during a press conference held at the Ganges Club, detailing the wide range of exhibits, swadeshi brands, and regional products lined up for this year's edition. Aamir Siddiqui, partner at Shine Events & Exhibits and President of the New Kanpur Youth Club, highlighted that the event continues a cherished 20-year legacy of serving the city’s residents during the festive season. He noted that the primary objective of the bazaar is to offer high-quality, authentic products at affordable rates, creating a comprehensive one-stop shopping destination for households preparing for Diwali.

Visitors to Motijheel Lawn-2 can look forward to an extensive showcase featuring specialty goods sourced directly from different regions across India. The diverse offerings include plush carpets from Bhadohi, authentic pickles and digestion products (churn) from Jaipur, jaggery from Bareilly, and fresh dry fruits from Kashmir. Additionally, shoppers can explore handcrafted utensils, traditional perfumes (ittar), essential puja items, kitchen spices, edible oils, detergents, fresh stone-ground flour (chakki atta), and premium tea leaves from Assam. Modern consumer needs will also be catered to with stalls featuring solar panels, stationary, pens, and fine leather craft items.

The announcement event saw active participation from key organizers, including Vikram Pandey, General Secretary of the New Kanpur Youth Club, alongside partner Aamir Siddiqui and other prominent team members. With robust preparations underway, the organizers are gearing up to welcome thousands of visitors seeking a vibrant, culturally rich shopping experience in the heart of Kanpur.
