UP Seasonal Collection Amins and Attendants to Convene at Eco Garden on Nov 2 Over Regularization Demands

Kanpur : Agitated over decades-long pending demands, the Uttar Pradesh Revenue Collection Seasonal Amin Staff Attendant Welfare Association has formally announced a state-wide assembly at Eco Garden, Lucknow, on November 2. Seasonal collection amins and attendants (anusevaks) from across all districts of Uttar Pradesh will gather at the capital venue to map out a comprehensive agitation strategy and submit a formal memorandum addressed to the Chief Minister.

The primary cause of discontent stems from the long-delayed regularization process for seasonal collection amins and attendants working under the state revenue department. Explaining the ground reality, State President of the Association, Virendra Kumar, highlighted that a substantial number of these workers have already crossed the upper age limit and are currently on the verge of retirement without securing permanent employment status. Furthermore, for those employees who were previously regularized, administrative hurdles have emerged as the government is failing to grant essential age-limit relaxations and is instead revoking regularization orders in several instances.

Virendra Kumar expressed deep frustration among the workforce, alleging that senior bureaucracy and administrative officials are acting contrary to the Chief Minister's directives and welfare commitments. This bureaucratic deadlock has triggered widespread anger and distress among the seasonal staff, many of whom have devoted their productive years to revenue collection duties across various tehsils and districts without reaching job stability or pensionary security.

The November 2 meeting at Eco Garden aims to unify the statewide cadre, articulate their grievances, and pressure the administration for an immediate resolution. The association warned that if their core demands regarding age relaxation and seamless regularization are not met promptly, they will be forced to escalate their state-level protests.
