India Promotes WAVES 2025 in South Korea

Seoul: The Indian Embassy in South Korea recently hosted an informative session at the Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre, focusing on the upcoming World Audio-Visual and Entertainment Summit (WAVES) 2025. The event, set to be held in Mumbai from May 1-4, aims to encourage participation from the Korean media and entertainment industry.

Indian Ambassador to South Korea, Amit Kumar, emphasized the significance of WAVES 2025 in bringing together cinema, digital media, content creators, the IT sector, and global capability centers. In his address, he highlighted how the summit would serve as a platform for people-to-people connectivity, enabling individuals to share and celebrate their stories.

Speaking about India’s growing prominence in the global audio-visual co-production sector, Kumar pointed out the country’s advanced infrastructure, skilled talent pool, and dynamic market. He invited Korean stakeholders to explore creative collaborations, expand business ties, and invest in India’s rapidly evolving media and entertainment landscape.

The interactive session witnessed enthusiastic participation from representatives of the Korean media industry, social media influencers, and media professionals. A dedicated Q&A segment allowed attendees to gain deeper insights into the opportunities and collaborations WAVES 2025 presents.
