Prayagraj : Uttar Pradesh Rajarshi Tandon Open University, Prayagraj, will begin its December 2024 session exams on 27th December. Over 60,000 students will take part in these exams, which will be held at 128 centers across the state. The exams will run until 25th January 2025.
The university’s Vice-Chancellor, Professor Satyakam, provided details about the exam schedule and arrangements. He shared that the university has established 128 centers across Uttar Pradesh, including five central jails in cities like Bareilly, Fatehgarh, Ayodhya, Gorakhpur, and Gautam Buddh Nagar. To ensure no inconvenience to students, one exam center has been set up in each district based on the number of students in that region.
The exams will be conducted in two shifts: from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM and from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. The schedule includes four segments: Certificate and Diploma courses from 27th December to 2nd January, Undergraduate exams from 27th December to 25th January, Postgraduate exams from 11th January to 25th January, and Ph.D. course work exams on 1st and 2nd January.
Professor Satyakam emphasized the careful planning of the exam dates, ensuring they do not overlap with major events like the Mahakumbh in Prayagraj. He also highlighted that the exam timetable was published 30 days in advance for better preparation. The university has implemented online admit cards for all students, available for download. Only those students who completed their enrollment processes on time will be issued admit cards.
To maintain exam integrity, the university has set up a digital platform to monitor the process, with special instructions provided to exam center heads to ensure transparency. Teams of invigilators and flying squads will regularly inspect exam centers to ensure a fair examination. A help desk will also be available at regional centers to assist students with any queries. Moreover, a support desk at the Controller’s Office will resolve any issues faced by students during the exam process, staffed with trained personnel.
