Grand Entry Gates to Showcase Mathura's Spiritual Essence

Mathura, the revered birthplace of Lord Krishna, is set to welcome devotees with a grand visual treat. The Uttar Pradesh Braj Teerth Vikas Parishad (UPBTVP) has approved the construction of iconic entry gates along key routes leading to the city. These gateways will symbolize the city's spiritual and cultural significance, ensuring that visitors experience the essence of Mathura the moment they arrive.

The project, chaired by UPBTVP Vice Chairman Shailjakant Mishra, involves the installation of Krishna sculptures at seven strategic locations. Each gate will feature an eight-meter-tall statue of Lord Krishna playing the flute, standing on a four-meter pedestal, representing the city's deep-rooted religious heritage. Enhancements like solar lighting, lush greenery, and aesthetic landscaping will further elevate the visual appeal.

Strategic Locations for the Entry Gates:

Repura Jat – On the Delhi-Agra National Highway (NH 19), near the Gwalior Road.

Kotvan – Along the Haryana border on the Delhi-Agra National Highway.

Sathani – Situated on the Mathura-Aligarh Road.

Sonaai – Located on the Mathura-Bareilly Road.

Radhakund – Near the canal area, marking a significant spiritual site.

Vrindavan Cut – On the Yamuna Expressway, providing access to Vrindavan.

Laxmi Nagar – Positioned along the Mathura-Raya Road.

Enhancing Spiritual Tourism
This ambitious initiative aligns with the vision of promoting Braj's spiritual tourism and enhancing the visitor experience. The carefully crafted gates will not only beautify the entry points but also foster a sense of devotion among pilgrims and tourists.

Security and Safety Measures
To ensure the safety of visitors, dedicated police pickets will be established at each entry gate. UPBTVP has coordinated with Senior Superintendent of Police Shailesh Pandey to implement this measure. The Parishad will provide necessary resources to maintain security and manage traffic efficiently.

A Testament to Mathura's Legacy
The establishment of these monumental gates is a reflection of Mathura's rich cultural legacy. As pilgrims traverse these symbolic entrances, they will be greeted with the divine imagery of Lord Krishna, reminding them of the city's spiritual grandeur. This initiative not only preserves the cultural heritage of Braj but also strengthens its identity as a prominent religious destination.

With construction already underway, these majestic gates will soon stand as beacons of devotion, welcoming all who seek the spiritual embrace of Mathura.
