CM Yogi Unveils Special Mahakumbh Debit Card in Prayagraj
CM Yogi launched Indian Bank's special Mahakumbh debit card in Prayagraj, promoting cultural heritage and digital transactions.
Prayagraj: In a historic move to celebrate the spiritual and cultural essence of Mahakumbh 2025, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched Indian Bank's special Mahakumbh ATM debit card. The grand event took place in the holy city of Prayagraj, attended by top bank officials, including Chief General Manager Sudhir Kumar Gupta and regional heads from Lucknow and Prayagraj.
This unique debit card symbolizes the state’s rich heritage and aims to promote financial empowerment. Indian Bank plans to distribute nearly 2 lakh such cards during the 45-day Mahakumbh festival across Uttar Pradesh.
The card, adorned with Mahakumbh and Indian Bank logos, will be offered to customers without any annual charges. Speaking at the event, Sudhir Kumar Gupta emphasized the government's vision of boosting digital transactions and promoting financial literacy in the state.
This initiative by Indian Bank connects the spiritual significance of Mahakumbh with modern financial advancements, accelerating economic growth in Uttar Pradesh.
