Devotional Wave at Magh Purnima: Digital Alerts Ensure Safe Holy Dip at Sangam

Mahakumbh Nagar: A massive wave of devotion swept through the Triveni Sangam as thousands of devotees arrived for the sacred #maghpurnima bath. From Tuesday night itself, pilgrims from across the country and abroad started reaching the holy site, leading to a surge in crowd numbers at the ghats.

Administration on High Alert for Devotees’ Convenience
On the special directive of CM Yogi Adityanath, the administration took stringent measures to ensure a smooth and secure bathing experience. From Tuesday night, Variable Messaging Displays (VMDs) were deployed across the fair area to continuously provide important instructions and alerts for the convenience of the pilgrims. This proactive approach helped in effective crowd management, preventing any disorder during the ritual bathing.

Administration’s Appeal for Safe Bathing
Pilgrims were urged not to linger at the ghats after their holy dip and to proceed towards their respective destinations promptly. Continuous security alerts and essential guidelines were displayed on VMD screens, ensuring that the devotees faced no inconvenience.

Magh Purnima’s Sacred Timing
The auspicious period for Magh Purnima Snan commenced at 6:55 PM on February 11 and lasted until 7:22 PM on February 12. During this time, lakhs of devotees took the sacred dip at the confluence of Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati, seeking divine blessings.

A Digitally Coordinated Administration for a Systematic Bathing Experience
To manage the massive influx of pilgrims and ensure a safe and seamless bathing process, the administration deployed security personnel at the ghats and used digital messaging systems for better communication. The VMD displays, are strategically placed across the area, providing real-time information to the devotees, ensuring a hassle-free and organized experience.

With lakhs of devotees taking the holy dip every day, the administration's strict monitoring and digital messaging system have played a crucial role in making this grand religious event safe and well-coordinated.
