JNU Delegation Appreciates Kumbh Studies Program
A JNU research delegation praised the Kumbh Studies Certificate Program at UP Rajarshi Tandon Open University, highlighting its role in spreading awareness about Kumbh traditions.

Prayagraj. A research delegation from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi, visited the Distance Education Awareness Camp of Uttar Pradesh Rajarshi Tandon Open University (UPRTOU) at Mahakumbh Nagar, Sector 7, to gain insights into the Kumbh Studies Certificate Program. The delegation, consisting of professors and research scholars, is conducting an in-depth study on various aspects of Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj.
Upon their arrival at the camp, the delegation was welcomed by Dr. Anil Kumar Singh Bhadauria, the nodal officer, who provided them with comprehensive details about the certificate program. Dr. Bhadauria explained that the Kumbh Studies Certificate Program was launched in January 2025 with the aim of educating a larger population about the historical, cultural, and spiritual significance of the Kumbh Mela.
Affordable Learning for All
To make this unique program accessible, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Satyakam has introduced a special enrollment fee of just ₹500 for students joining during the Mahakumbh session in January. To maximize outreach, university-appointed Kumbh guides are distributing pamphlets in all sectors of the Mahakumbh area, leading to a growing interest in the program.

Social harmony and Kumbh

Students enrolling in the program also receive high-quality study materials, which have even been recognized by the Governor of Uttar Pradesh for their academic value.

They lauded the initiative and assured that they would encourage more scholars and students to enroll in this insightful program.
