CM Yogi hails Maha Kumbh 2025 for promoting national unity, as 66 crore devotees immerse in devotion and patriotism.

Prayagraj. On the auspicious occasion of Mahashivratri, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath extended his heartfelt greetings to devotees across the state and beyond. He particularly acknowledged the spiritual and patriotic significance of Maha Kumbh 2025, where an estimated 66 crore pilgrims have participated in the sacred bathing rituals at Prayagraj’s Triveni Sangam.
Speaking at Mukteshwar Nath Temple in Gorakhpur, CM Yogi emphasized that Lord Shiva embodies welfare and universal harmony. The grand Maha Kumbh has not only strengthened faith but also showcased India’s national integrity and unity to the world.
Massive Devotee Gatherings at Shiva Temples Across India
CM Yogi highlighted the enormous turnout at major Shiva temples, including:
Kashi Vishwanath Temple in Varanasi, witnessing 8-10 lakh devotees daily.
Ayodhya Ram Janmabhoomi, with similar footfall of devotees paying homage to Lord Ram.
Other significant Shiva temples, including Baba Dudheshwarnath (Ghaziabad), Baba Augharnath (Meerut), Pura Mahadev (Baghpat), and Gorakhnath Temple (Gorakhpur), also saw a surge in worshippers.
He noted that the spirit of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ (the world is one family) resonates deeply in Maha Kumbh 2025, as devotees immerse in devotion, spreading a message of nationalism and cultural unity.
A Commitment to Welfare and Nation-Building
The Chief Minister concluded by urging citizens to imbibe Lord Shiva’s teachings of selflessness and collective welfare. He expressed confidence that this spiritual gathering would inspire people to work towards the betterment of society and the nation with dedication and unity.
