IMA Cricket Premier League Season-2 Begins, Trophy and Jersey Unveiled

Kanpur: A press conference was held at the Indian Medical Association (IMA) office regarding the upcoming Cricket Premier League Season-2. Dr. Amit Singh Gaur and the Vice President & In-charge of the Sports Sub-Committee, Dr. Vikas Mishra, provided details about the tournament, which will be played on February 1 and 2 at TSH Palika Stadium. Matches will be held from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM.

Five Teams to Compete in the Tournament
A total of five teams will participate in this thrilling tournament:

Kanishk Kings
Regency Royals
Paras Panthers
Fortune Lions
South Legends
Match Format and Special Rules
The tournament will feature 11 league matches, each of 14 overs. Around 5-6 matches will be played each day. The top two teams from the league stage will advance to the final match.

Each team will have 15 players, consisting of:

2 female players
2 players aged 50+
1 IMA member's son/daughter (aged 18+)
10 other players
The player auction was conducted on January 18 at the IMA building.

Trophy and Jersey Unveiled
During the press conference, the trophy and team jerseys were officially unveiled. Present at the event were Dr. Ravi Garg (Captain, Kanishk Kings), Dr. Saurabh Saxena (Captain, Paras Panthers), Dr. Faheem Ansari (Captain, Fortune Lions), Dr. Vineet Rastogi (Captain, Regency Royals), and Dr. Aniket Tripathi (Captain, South Legends).

IMA Sports Secretary Dr. Nishat Saurabh Saxena announced that this tournament would now be held annually and that the IMA family is committed to making it even more prestigious.
