Fusion Fest Kicks Off at IMRT Business School with Sports and Spirit
IMRT Business School launched a 3-day Fusion Fest with sports competitions and guest Padma Shri Sudha Singh.

Lucknow: The campus of IMRT Business School buzzed with energy and enthusiasm as the institute launched its much-awaited three-day annual celebration, "Fusion Fest." The event was inaugurated with vibrant flair by Padma Shri and Arjuna Awardee athlete Sudha Singh, who released balloons into the sky to mark the beginning of the festivities.
The inaugural ceremony saw the presence of IMRT Chairman and former IFS officer Desh Raj Bansal, Director Shilpika Pandey, faculty members, and students, all gathered to celebrate the spirit of sports and holistic education.
The first day of Fusion Fest was dedicated to sports competitions, drawing participation from over 600 students across 20 colleges in Lucknow. Notable institutions included City College, Rama Degree College, Ambalika Institute, SMS College, Yash Raj Educational Institute, Modern Girls Degree College, KKC, Lucknow University, Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar University, BBD University, Shri Ramswaroop Memorial University, Jaipuria College, Study Hall, and Krishna College.
A wide range of games were organized, including cricket, football, basketball, kabaddi, carrom, badminton, table tennis, volleyball, arm wrestling, and a debate competition, showcasing both athletic prowess and intellectual engagement.
During a press conference, Sudha Singh emphasized the importance of integrating sports with education, saying:
“Today, Uttar Pradesh has carved a strong position in the national and international sports arena. More athletes from the state are gaining recognition and career opportunities than ever before. IMRT is making commendable efforts to nurture future champions, especially encouraging women in both sports and academics.”
Chairman Desh Raj Bansal spoke about the vision behind such events:
“We believe in the holistic development of our students. Through this three-day fest, we aim to infuse energy, teamwork, and physical development alongside academic excellence.”
The winners of major track events were also announced:
100m Women’s Race: Priya (KKC) - 1st, Sakshi Yadav (IMRT) - 2nd
100m Men’s Race: Sagar Tripathi (IMRT) - 1st, Himanshu Pal (KKC) - 2nd
200m Women’s Race: Priya (KKC) - 1st, Pragati Shukla (IMRT) - 2nd
200m Men’s Race: Sagar Tripathi (IMRT) - 1st, Himanshu Pal (KKC) - 2nd
Results for other sports events were awaited at the time of reporting.
The opening day of Fusion Fest concluded on a high note, filled with vibrant energy, student spirit, and prize distributions. IMRT Business School reiterated its dedication to building well-rounded individuals by continuing such enriching initiatives in the future.
