BIS Hosts Special Standard Carnival at Gujarat Science City
BIS organized an interactive Standard Carnival at Gujarat Science City, promoting quality awareness and science education among students.
Lucknow: The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) organized a Standard Carnival on January 4, 2025, at Science City, Ahmedabad. The event was held in collaboration with the Department of Science and Technology, Government of Gujarat, with the aim of promoting science education and spreading awareness about quality standards.
BIS launched a unique initiative to increase quality awareness among students by establishing "Standard Clubs" in educational institutions. Through these clubs, teachers and students are engaged as members and encouraged to become brand ambassadors of quality.
The carnival provided students with a chance to explore the significance of standards in science, technological innovations, and everyday life. The event featured interactive exhibitions, exciting activities, competitions, and inspirational discussions, offering students a valuable educational experience.
More than 500 students from various districts of Gujarat participated in the event. The carnival allowed students to understand real-world industrial processes and quality management, which will prove highly beneficial and motivational for their future careers.
Students and teachers who attended the event appreciated BIS’s efforts. They stated that such initiatives would enhance scientific and technological awareness among youth, enabling them to contribute effectively to building a modern India.
