Bareilly: Bareilly hosted an inspiring women's powerlifting championship under the aegis of Usha Maa Powerlifting and Bareilly Powerlifting Association. The event saw enthusiastic participation from female athletes across the state, setting a new milestone in women’s sports development.

Chief Guest, Additional Commissioner of Bareilly Division, Preeti Jaiswal, expressed her delight at the event’s successful organization. She highlighted the significance of state-level championships in empowering women in sports. “Powerlifting is a challenging sport, and seeing women excel in this domain is truly commendable. I encourage all participants to strive for national and international medals, bringing pride to their city and country,” she stated.

Guest of Honor, Ranjana Solanki, also praised the growing involvement of women in sports. She remarked, “Women are excelling in every field, and powerlifting is no exception. Their dedication and strength are breaking barriers, inspiring future generations.”

A Competitive Showcase of Strength
Uttar Pradesh Women’s Commission member, Pushpa Pandey, inaugurated the second day of the championship. The event witnessed the participation of 72 female athletes from across the state, showcasing their power and resilience in intense competitions.

In recognition of outstanding contributions to women’s empowerment, several distinguished personalities were honored at the event. Among them were Dr. Kavita Arora, Raj Wala, Pallavi Saxena, Archana Rajput, Rhythm Sharma, Dr. Preeti Verma, Rakhi Gangwar, Dr. Madhu Gupta, Deepmala Pandey, Rita Singh, and Mamta Saxena. Their efforts in various fields have been instrumental in promoting gender equality and empowerment.

The event was graced by prominent figures, including K.N. Singh, S.P. Singh, Suman Singh, Rahul Shukla, Mukesh Kumar, Ranjan Singh, Sanjay Verma, and Ravi Singh.
