Mahakumbh Nagar. A National Conference for Security Professionals was organized at the Swarnim Bharat Gyan Kumbh Mandap in Sector 7 during Mahakumbh by the Brahma Kumaris Institute. The event also included an awareness session under the Drug-Free India Campaign, where distinguished speakers addressed the audience.

Chief speaker and Controller General of Defence Accounts, Devika Raghuvanshi, emphasized that such programs not only encourage people to pledge against substance abuse but also empower them. She highlighted how spiritual knowledge can contribute to a healthy and strong life.

Addressing the gathering, Principal Controller Sandeep Sarkar stated that addiction not only deteriorates an individual’s health but also negatively impacts families and society. He praised the Brahma Kumaris' nationwide efforts to spread awareness and help people become addiction-free and stress-free. He also called upon NCC cadets to take active steps in preventing drugs from reaching society.

Spirituality Awakens Inner Strength: Rajyogini Manorama Didi
The event also featured blessings from Rajyogini Brahma Kumari Manorama Didi, the head of the Gyan Kumbh Mandap. She explained that Rajyoga meditation connects individuals with the Supreme, promoting physical and mental well-being. She pointed out that in today’s era, many people struggle with inner weaknesses, making it difficult to overcome negative habits. However, spiritual connection and the practice of Rajyoga awaken hidden inner powers, helping individuals conquer their weaknesses over time. She stressed that every person, regardless of background, should adopt Rajyoga for a stronger life.

Brahma Kumaris’ Nationwide Efforts Against Drug Addiction
BK Dr. Banarasi Lal Shah, an executive member of the Medical Wing of the Brahma Kumaris Headquarters in Mount Abu, shared insights into how the organization is continuously working to make India free from addiction.

During the event, attendees took an anti-addiction pledge, committing to staying away from drugs. The Brahma Kumaris Medical Wing also launched a drug-free awareness campaign at the Mahakumbh fair. As part of the initiative, four awareness vehicles traveled across various sectors of the Kumbh and surrounding villages, encouraging people to pledge against drug consumption.

Before the conference, a Drug-Free Awareness Rally was organized in collaboration with the Medical Wing of the Brahma Kumaris and the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment. The rally saw enthusiastic participation from dignitaries and Brahma Kumaris members, further strengthening the movement against substance abuse.
