New Delhi. Foreign Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar participated in the Munich Security Conference held in Germany from 16-18 February, where he besides sharing his views on international security policy, also held meetings with his counterparts from several countries. He said that their talks focused on the situation in West Asia, Ukraine and the Indo-Pacific and also reviewed the ongoing progress in India-US bilateral relations.

Jaishankar met EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs Josep Borrell and exchanged views on the current global situation. He met British Foreign Minister David Cameron and the two leaders discussed India-UK bilateral cooperation as well as global and regional issues.

Jaishankar wrote in a post on 'X' that he had a fruitful conversation with Saudi Arabia's Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan. Discussed connectivity, the situation in West Asia and our strategic partnership. Apart from this, the External Affairs Minister held a meeting with his German counterpart Annalena Baerbock and spoke to young leaders from Munich.

Jaishankar discussed traditional medicine and pandemic preparedness with WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus. The External Affairs Minister also discussed the current situation in Gaza with Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyad al-Maliki. He also met his counterparts from Canada, Argentina, Bulgaria, Peru, Portugal, Poland, Belgium, Armenia and many other dignitaries.
